ISO TS/16949
ISO
/ TS 16949:2002 certification is an international standard and
"technical specification" containing requirements for
establishing and maintaining a quality management system for the
design and development, production and installation (when relevant)
and service of automobile-related products.
The
20 element structure of QS 9000 and ISO / TS 16949: 1999 is now
a thing of past. The 2002 version has adopted the content and
structure of ISO 9001 certification 2000, which promotes a "Process
Approach" to develop, implement and improve a quality management
system.

Have
never been registered before and are considering implementing
an ISO/TS 16949:2002 based quality management system
If your organization used to be registered to QS-9000 / ISO 9001:2000
and wants to advance to ISO/TS 16949:2002, QMS recommends to start
the transition as soon as possible. QMS believe that it's a great
idea to revamp your business processes now! Assess your current
system, determine what needs to be done, plan the upgrade, and
implement the changes and additions. Your main goal must be to
move from mere compliance to effectiveness, then on to continual
improvement, resulting in optimal business performance, added
value, and most importantly automotive customer satisfaction!
